2 Hibbing girls haven't been seen since March 29; $1K reward offered

Officials are asking for the public's help to locate two 15-year-old girls from Hibbing who went missing nearly two weeks ago.

Julianna Sala (on the right in the above image) and Selena Benz were last seen by their families March 29, according to Advocates for Family Peace (AFFP), a domestic abuse advocacy group with locations in Hibbing and Grand Rapids. Julianna is the daughter of an advocate for the organization, AFFP says.

AFFP is offering a $1,000 reward for the safe return of both girls.

The Hibbing High School ninth-graders were last seen getting into a car owned by a boy from Virginia, Minnesota, AFFP notes.

The Hibbing Police Department told BringMeTheNews Thursday it is investigating this as a juvenile runaway case and continues to follow-up on leads, but officials haven't been able to locate the girls.

AFFP says they could be as far away as Tennessee, but Hibbing police say they have no concrete information that they have left the state.

Selena and Julianna are both described as being 5 foot, 7 inches tall and weighing 140 pounds.

Anyone with information on the girls' whereabouts is asked to contact Hibbing police at 218-263-3601 or call 911.
