2 improving after ice fishing house blast

The conditions of two of the five men injured in an ice fishing camper explosion in northern Minnesota on Sunday are improving, KFGO Radio reports.

A hospital spokeswoman told KFGO radio that Rod Bolstad of Hillsboro has been upgraded from critical to serious condition, and his son Joel has been upgraded from serious to fair condition.

Two others remain in critical condition and one in fair condition, the station reports.

The men had stayed overnight in the privately owned camper-ice fishing house and investigators say a propane furnace exploded and blew out the windows of the camper on the shore of Lake of the Woods at about 8 a.m., Grand Forks Herald reported.
