The rain isn't over yet.

After devastating flooding this week, a cold front is forecast to move through Minnesota Saturday, bringing the potential for more rain and a few strong/severe thunderstorms, the National Weather Service in the Twin Cities says.

This additional rainfall on an already waterlogged state could mean for more flooding is possible, the weather service warns.

Communities throughout the Twin Cities and southern Minnesota have experienced flooding since storms dumped several inches of rain across much of the state Wednesday into Thursday. Across the region rain caused havoc, flooding roads and overwhelming city sewer systems. Flooding continued into Friday as well.

Devastation in Wisconsin

In nearby Wisconsin, flooding caused mudslides, which sent homes sliding into highways (see photos here and here) in Vernon County, located along the Mississippi River.

Officials in Vernon County, Wisconsin, say two men have died as a result of the storms – 53-year-old Michael McDonald was killed when his home slid down the side of a bluff and onto Highway 35 Thursday morning, the La Crosse Tribune reports. Another man – 79-year-old Joseph Menne – was killed when he tried to drive his truck through flood waters, the paper says.
