2 shot, injured at Minneapolis vigil for murder victim

A shooter sprayed bullets into a group of about 30 people gathered Tuesday night on a north Minneapolis sidewalk for a vigil for a Brooklyn Park murder victim, the Star Tribune reported.

Two men were injured in the drive-by shooting a bit after 7 p.m. near W. Broadway and Bryant Avenue N., and they were transported to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale with noncritical injuries, according to the Star Tribune.

No one was arrested Tuesday night, the newspaper reported.

Friends and family had gathered in memory of Haywood Eaton, who was fatally shot in a nearby Burger King parking lot in 2009.

Denell Ray Malone was sentenced to 30 years in that slaying in 2010.
