2 men shot outside Foot Locker in Brooklyn Center, no arrests made

Two men were shot as people lined up outside a Foot Locker to buy new Nike Air Jordan shoes.

WCCO reports dozens were outside the Foot Locker on Shingle Creek Parkway, Brooklyn Center, when "multiple shots" were fired, with two males injured. The incident happened around 10 a.m.

The crowds were there to buy the new Air Jordan 2 Retro "Wing It" shoes, which were released on Saturday, with staff at a nearby tire shop telling BringMeTheNews they heard "5 or 6 shots" fired.

The two victims were taken to North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale with non-life threatening injuries.

A witness told KARE 11 the shooting was over a pair of shoes, with a relative of one of the victims confirming as much to FOX 9's Iris Perez.

Witnesses say someone cut in line, and that led to an argument that ended in a shooting, KSTP says.

Police tell WCCO they found more than a dozen casings on the ground afterwards.

Officials say they believe it was an isolated incident and that there's no threat to the public, according to WCCO.

The suspect fled the scene, KARE reports. Police don't have anyone in custody yet. Authorities tell sources they're interviewing witnesses to get more information.

More details will be updated as they become available.
