Twin Cities gas prices skyrocket 70 cents


A gallon of regular gasoline will cost you about $3.75 in Minnesota, according to

Fox 9 says prices in the Twin Cities metro have jumped more than 70 cents a gallon in the last 30 days. AAA spokeswoman Gail Weinholzer expects prices to peak in the next month or two.

CNN Money reports the 32 straight days of increases are blamed on rising crude oil prices, production cuts and refinery closings.

AAA said Monday that the national average for a gallon of regular is $3.73 -- a four-month high -- NBC News reports.
