A brawl Sunday at LA Fitness in Roseville led to the arrest of three men, the Pioneer Press reports.

According to criminal complaints filed in Ramsey County District Court, police responded to a call of 10 to 15 people fighting at the Roseville facility. The complaints said the fight started on the basketball court and spilled into the main exercise area, and officers tried to gain control of two groups of males when they arrived on the scene.

During the incident, four males were fighting with one person on the basketball court and chased him into the fitness area, the complaints said. Despite by an attempt by gym staff to diffuse the situation, four suspects threw weight plates, barbells and a trash can lid toward the juice bar and the male target, the complaints said.

Videos reportedly captured footage of three men grabbing weight plates during the disturbance, the complaints said.

Ali Yusuf Barre, 18, of Minneapolis; Abdirashid Yasin Duad, 18, of Minneapolis; and Mohamed Awil Suleiman, 20, of Burnsville, were all charged with gross misdemeanor third-degree participation in a riot, and also face disorderly conduct charges, the Pioneer Press says.

The brawl reported at the Roseville gym isn't the only high-profile melee to happen in a sports facility this week.

On Tuesday, a brawl erupted between two basketball teams in Rockford, Illinois, WIFR reports. The incident prompted the Illinois State High School Association to get police and extra security to patrol Friday night's playoff games.
