3 more children die of flu in Minnesota

Three more pediatric deaths were caused by the flu last week in Minnesota, bringing the flu season's total to four in the state as of Feb. 10, according to the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH). 

As of the week ending Feb. 3, the CDC had reported 63 pediatric deaths from the flu across the country, so that number is at least 66 counting the latest data from Minnesota.

Flu in Minnesota is still considered widespread much like it is in most of the country. 

There were 108 schools in Minnesota with flu outbreaks last week, meaning 5 percent of those schools' students were out with the flu or three or more students in the same elementary classroom were absent because of the flu, according to the MDH.
