3 new shops to open at Southdale in Edina


Southdale Center, the nation's first enclosed regional shopping mall, announced it will add three new stores to its retail lineup this fall, the Business Journal reports.

The new shops include:

  • Sperry Top-Siders, an Indiana-based shoe manufacturer. This will be the company's first Minnesota store.
  • Vera Bradley, an Indiana.-based company that sells handbags, luggage and backpacks. The brand also has a retail location at the Mall of America.
  • Ohio-based Kay Jewelers is also returning to the Edina shopping center after a two year absence.

Freshii, a Canadian fast-food franchise that serves wraps, soups, salads and frozen yogurt, will join the mall's dining pavilion this year, according to the mall's Facebook page.

Southdale completed a multimillion dollar renovation project last fall with hopes of attracting new attracting tenants and shoppers.
