A three-year-old boy was shot while inside a home on Monday evening near the 2600 block of Colfax Ave. N. in Minneapolis. The shots apparently came from outside the home. He was rushed to North Memorial Medical Center. KSTP is reporting that his injuries are life-threatening.

KARE 11 reports Sen. Amy Klobuchar and other elected officials attended the vigil, that included music and candles. City officials also promised to continue their search for the person responsible. A $1,000 reward is still being offered for information that leads to an arrest.

Police chase leads, killer of 5-year-old

Police are seeking the killer of a 5-year-old boy who was shot while sleeping on a couch in a north Minneapolis home Tuesday morning. The gunman sprayed the house with bullets and fled, police say. It was exactly six months to the day that 3-year-old Terrell Mayes Jr. was shot by a bullet that was fired into his home.
