4 die in 3 separate Minnesota road crashes in 12-hour span

Four people died in three separate accidents within a 12-hour span Saturday on Minnesota roadways, the Star Tribune reports.

In Stewartville, Yujie Miao, 25, of Dallas, was killed in a one-vehicle rollover on Highway 30 at about 3:45 a.m.

North of Cannon Falls on Highway 52, La Yin, 48, and Naw Wah, 48, both of St. Paul, died when their vehicle was broadsided at about noon. The accident happened after the driver of their vehicle failed to yield, the Minnesota State Patrol says.

Neither Yin or Wah were wearing seat belts, and were ejected from the vehicles, officials said.

About about 3 p.m., Krista Suronen, 42, of Rogers died in a crash on Highway 59, north of Plummer and south of Thief River Falls. The Red Lake Sheriff's Office is still investigating the mishap.
