In a social media world that's usually pretty unforgiving, the 2016 BET Hip Hop Awards were surprisingly very well received.
Drake, who led the nominations with 14 nods, was the biggest winner, securing artist of the year, video of the year for "Hotline Bling," and album of the year for Views. Host DJ Khaled took home honors for DJ of the Year, MVP of the Year and Hustler of the Year, all of which were "major keys." Chance the Rapper secured another moment in his best year ever with best new artist and best mixtape. Probably the most emotional acceptance came from Remy Ma who had her comeback solidified and she and Fat Joe won track of the year and best collabo for "All the Way Up."
