The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is helping local authorities investigate a shooting spree around midnight Sunday outside of an Austin events center that injured five people, the Rochester Post-Bulletin reported.

The victims were all taken to the Mayo Clinic Health System in Austin and then transferred to Rochester. Two of them are reported to be in critical condition.

The shooting took place at Lansing Corners supper club, a one-time diner converted into an events center. Authorities say the shooting took place after a "hip hop-rap"-type event and gang activity was not being ruled out as a factor, reported the Post-Bulletin.
