9,000 children's scooters sold by Target are being recalled
If you bought your kids one of these scooters for Christmas, pay attention.
The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) has announced a recall for around 8,900 Pulse Performance Safe Start Electric Scooters over safety concerns.
According to the CPSC release, the knuckle that joins the wheel to the axle can break, potentially causing a child riding the scooter to fall.
The $100 scooters are sold exclusively at Target.
"Consumers should immediately take the recalled scooters away from children and contact Pulse Performance Products for a full refund,"
The move is being taken as a precaution, with the safety regulator saying no injuries or falls have been reported at this stage.
The affected products are blue, three-wheeled scooters with manufacturing date codes between September 10, 2016 and October 11, 2016.
The date code is printed on the underside of the scooter.
