Mysterious truck driver releases pigeons

An unidentified man has been dropping off truckloads of live pigeons at a truck wash in Worthington, according to its employees, the Worthington Daily Globe reports. In one release captured on a surveillance video, about 1,000 birds exploded from the truck trailer, and nearly as many were released last week.

A woman in Jordan, Minn., was surprised when her 4-year-old Pekingese took in an abandoned kitten, then start producing milk and nursing the gray stray animal to health, the Associated Press reports. Pat Weber says the kitten was days old when her grandson found it in the family's barn in early September in Jordan, about 40 miles southwest of Minneapolis.
