What are the opposite of hotpants? We think Minneapolis' Tom Grotting has the answer.
Grotting is becoming a bit of a celebrity in Minneapolis for his winter pranks, where he puts frozen pants standing up in public places.
He's been sharing his cold creations on the "I Love NE Minneapolis" Facebook page, placing the pants next to his local cafe, The Hill Valley Coffee Shop, and outside his video business, Digital Pictures, Inc., in downtown Minneapolis.
His work has attracted national attention, getting a mention on the Today Show, as well as being featured in articles by ABC News and the Huffington Post.
"I put them right outside my office window so I took pictures of people awkwardly squeezing in between the frozen pants as they tried to fill the meter," he told ABC News.
His sculptures take a bit of work. He told the TV station he soaks the pants in a bucket of water and hangs them outside, molding them as they freeze. The whole process takes about half an hour.
And he's inspiring others, with KARE 11 reporting he encouraged Facebook members to come up with their own creations.
