Minnesotans enjoyed their Halloween celebrations all day long – helped by the fact that the holiday fell on a Saturday this year.
Rain early in the day put a damper on some activities, but by trick-or-treat time things had dried out over most of the state.
-Anoka - the self-proclaimed Halloween Capital of the World - had its community celebration complete with a parade, a 5K run, a carnival and lots of other activities.
Hundreds of runners braved the cold and rain to participate in the Monster Dash through downtown and along Summit Avenue.

Gov. Mark Dayton handed out candy to thousands of children at his residents on Summit Avenue for three hours this evening.
