A wild weekend for DWIs in St. Cloud

Reward offered for information about punch that killed St. Cloud man

Police say a 20-year-old man walking in a St. Cloud alley was killed when he was punched by an attacker who jumped out of a vehicle. The victim was walking with two other people. Police believe he was a stranger to his attacker. A $1,000 reward is offered for information leading to an arrest.

The taser was needed to break up a fight that broke out after a judge denied a man a harassment restraining order. After the hearing, the St. Cloud Times reports Shawn Richard Skinner allegedly punched the other man in the face. He is now facing charges of fifth-degree assault and disorderly conduct.

Man with 27 DWIs back in jail

A man who has become notorious in Minnesota for multiple DWIs is back in jail. Daniel Allen Bettcher, 59, was in the Otter Tail County jail on Tuesday night after he was caught driving a car in New York Mills, a violation of his probation. It is believed Bettcher holds the record in Minnesota for his 27 DWIs.
