A Minneapolis bar celebrated for its cocktails and eponymous burger is expanding its footprint in the Twin Cities, with a St. Paul location in the cards.

Jester Concepts, which operates the Parlour bar in Minneapolis' North Loop, confirmed it is opening a sister bar, Parlour St. Paul, on West 7th Street towards the end of fall.

The new location will be split into three areas, with the Parlour cocktail bar on one side, a diner with an open kitchen on the other side, and a lounge area in the middle.

A patio will follow in spring 2018.

You can find it 267 W. Seventh St., just down the street from the Xcel Energy Center.

The cocktail menu will be put together by Jester Concepts' bar director Jesse Held, who will be bringing back a boozy milkshake originally created for the former Town Talk Diner, where he launched his career.

The food menu is the work of Jester's culinary director Mike DeCamp, who's adding new dishes including scrambled eggs with king crab, avocado and curry, and a chili dog with brisket chili.

Also making the trip across I-94 will be the famous Parlour burger, which ranked second place on Thrillist's 2016 rankings of the top metro-area burgers, and was also No. 1 on CityPages' 2014 list of 100 best Twin Cities dishes.

The Parlour bar in the North Loop is located below Borough restaurant on North Washington Avenue, and has built a sterling reputation since opening in 2012.

Just last week, Parlour began operating a stand in Target Center, selling its burgers and other food to Timberwolves fans during the NBA season.

“Jester Concepts is excited to become part of St. Paul’s burgeoning food scene,” Jester Concepts co-owner Brent Frederick said in a press release.

“We’re looking forward to bringing our guests the best of Parlour Minneapolis, and with the introduction of cocktails and dishes unique to Parlour St. Paul, we think we’ll make a great addition to the historical establishments and close-knit culinary community of West 7th Street."
