Acme Comedy Co. welcomes old faces to celebrate its 25th birthday

Publish date:

Acme Comedy Company is giving a nod to its past as it celebrates its 25 year anniversary this November, with a special show featuring some familiar faces.

Its North Loop venue will celebrate a quarter of a century of laughs with "one incredibly special show" on Nov. 6 with a lineup of comedians who got their first break at Acme's Open Mic nights.

On the bill are Tim Harmston – who is currently in the middle of a series of shows at the club – and his fellow Wisconsinite, and wife, Mary Mack.

They are joined by Pete Lee – who has since gone on to appear on Late Night with David Letterman – as well as Jackie Kashian, Tracey Ashley and Bryan Miller.

"I wanted to celebrate Acme Comedy Co.'s 25th anniversary by showcasing all of the comedians who have started here at Open Mic Night and are now headlining all over the world" company owner Louis Lee said.

Lee has also told those planning on attending the special show to "expect special guests," before adding "but our lips are sealed."

Comics with roots at Acme have been rallying around the club since learning that construction of a nearby apartment complex could force it to close or move.

There will be complimentary beer and wine served throughout the anniversary show, but Lee has warned there are only a "VERY limited number of tickets available to the public."

You must be over 21 to attend the event, tickets for which can be booked here and cost $50.
