Wisconsin Gov. Walker and Kestrel Aircraft announced plans Monday morning for an airplane manufacturing center that will bring up to 600 permanent new jobs to the city. The state offered a suite of loans and tax incentives to court the aircraft maker, which was also considering a site in Maine. WDIO says the company will recruit locally and tap area community colleges for training.

After more than 75 years in Round Lake, Farley's & Sather's Candy Company is closing its southwestern Minnesota headquarters. Up to 100 jobs at the plant will be phased out starting this summer and continue through the spring of next year.
