A man wanted for an Alabama murder and his girlfriend accomplice were found hiding out in St. Cloud Wednesday.

The St. Cloud Times reports 39-year-old Laron Lukes and 31-year-old Eleana Ghant were arrested by the Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force and U.S. Marshals.

Investigators had been watching an apartment where Ghant's mother lives for several days when they saw a man believed to be Lukes inside.

The two are suspects in a deadly drive-by shooting in Huntsville last November that killed 33-year-old Pedro Love. Lukes has been charged with murder, WAAY-TV says, and is in the process of being extradited back to Alabama.

Ghant is accused of driving the vehicle used in the shooting, but it's unclear if she's been charged in the case. The newspaper says Ghant has warrants for her arrest in Benton and Stearns counties.
