Heavy rain over the past few days is causing some problems in southern Minnesota.
Houston County Emergency Management posted a few photos on Facebook of large boulders as tall as a man that crashed through a home north of Brownsville, Minnesota, due to a mudslide from the heavy rain.
In addition to mudslides, local officials are reporting many roads have water across them and some rivers are at or going outside of their banks, the weather service says.
The National Weather Service says 4-6 inches of rain fell in the area overnight. Houston and Fillmore counties are under a flood warning until 4 p.m. Wednesday, while a flood watch is in effect for a larger area of southeastern Minnesota until 8 p.m.
Rain is expected to diminish Wednesday morning, but another round of storms is possible in the afternoon. This could "aggravate" ongoing flooding, the National Weather Service says.
Some severe weather is also possible across central Minnesota Wednesday, the National Weather Service in the Twin Cities says.
