Allina Health will begin to build a $17 million transitional-care facility at its WestHealth campus in Plymouth this summer, the Business Journal reports.
The project will offer 56 private suites for patients who are ready to leave the hospital, but not well enough to go home. The new facility will also include underground parking.
Allina opened a new $8 million emergency department at its WestHealth campus in January.
The Minneapolis-based health system is also doubling the size of its New Ulm Medical Center.
