Amateur league hockey team in Chicago drafts Jablonski
A junior amateur league hockey team in Chicago has drafted former Benilde-St. Margaret's hockey player Jack Jablonski.
On Tuesday night, the Chicago Steel tweeted:
Jablonski's image was already on the team's website Wednesday morning, although it was not immediately clear what role he would play with the Steel.
In response, Jablonski tweeted:
Jablonski on Monday had put his name into consideration:
Jablonski was paralyzed from a hit during a game in December 2011 and has been widely embraced by the hockey community since then, the Pioneer Press notes.
