Food critic Dara Moskowitz Grumdahl leaps from Minnesota Monthly to competitor MSP Magazine

Grumdahl tells MinnPost's David Brauer that she's making the move because Minneapolis St. Paul Magazine is "growing, and that's sort of where I want to be, in a place going forward."

Acclaimed Twin Cities food writer Dara Moskowitz Grumdahl tells MinnPost's David Brauer she's making the leap to Minneapolis St. Paul Magazine because it's "growing, and that’s sort of where I want to be, in a place going forward."

"Bizarre Foods" host and food writer Andrew Zimmern helped break the news the two will be teaming up. MSP staffer Susan Campbell also welcomes Grumdahl.

Grumdahl has won numerous awards, including four James Beard awards, and had her work featured six times in the annual anthology, "Best Food Writing in America."

She was the food, wine and restaurant critic for alternative weekly City Pages before joining Minnesota Monthly.

She's the author of "Drink This: Wine Made Simple."
