A semitrailer traveling through Waseca became the second in less than a week to veer off a highway and sink through the ice. KARE 11 says emergency workers were able to tow the truck out of Clear Lake, just off Hwy. 14. The State Patrol says the truck jack-knifed because of icy roads and high winds.

Another semi slips into icy water

A third semi-truck slid into a frozen lake Friday afternoon. The Star Tribune reports the 18-wheeler crashed on I-494 near Rockford Road in Plymouth. No one was injured. Cargo plane veers off runway at MSP

A small cargo plane tipped on its side and went off the runway at Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport around 8 p.m. Friday. Airport spokesman Patrick Hogan says the landing gear collapsed on the left side of the plane owned by Bemidji Aviation.
