A new brewery is coming to Lake Minnetonka.

Back Channel Brewing Collective, which is set to open at 4787 Shoreline Drive in Spring Park this summer, will be the first brewery on the upper part of Lake Minnetonka, a news release says.

Back Channel plans to make its brewery into a destination for beer made with local ingredients from sustainable farms. The brewery will also feature craft soda and cold-press coffee, and food will be available from local establishments.

The taproom, which will have views of the lake, will include indoor and outdoor patio space, and the possibility to add boat slips so people can boat to the brewery (but they have to do a boat density study to see if it's safe to for boats/kayaks/canoes to get to the brewery).

"We envision it as a place to meet friends and neighbors on your way home from work or when you’re out boating; a place to kick back, relax and enjoy this amazing place we live in,” Melissa Langseth, one of the owners, said in a statement.

Here's a look inside the taproom:

An exact opening date hasn't been announced yet, but more information is expected in the coming months.
