U.S. Rep. Tim Walz held a semi-run-of-the-mill open meeting with constituents in his 1st District's St. Peter Friday, and instead got an earful on Syria.
And what he heard was "no." The Star Tribune reports that about 150 people came to tell the Democratic Congressman that, including a Republican or two and people who say they voted for Obama.
That even included Jim Hagedorn, who announced this week that he's running for Walz's seat in the Republican primary.
The paper reports Walz said not one person who filed through a long line in the St. Peter Food Coop to speak to him supported military action.
Minnesota Public Radio has a good accounting of the views of many in attendance.
