Carleton College in North Field was named the 8th best national liberal arts college. The magazine also recognized the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities.

Iconic 1st National Bank Building in downtown St. Paul has a new owner

The historic 662,000-square-foot tower, known for its neon 1st sign, was sold to a New York City investment group for a little more than $19.8 million. The Business Journal notes Houston-based Fairfield Financial Group bought the First National Bank Building in January 2007 for $27.1 million.

New farmers market to open in St. Paul

The Capitol Farmers Market debuts Friday, June 29, south of the State Capitol building. About 30 vendors will feature locally grown produce, meats, flowers and other products. The market will be open every Friday through September 28.
