The Bemidji Pioneer reports she was found in a cornfield about a half-mile from her home at 11:20 a.m., following a search by a party of about 35 people that started early Friday morning.
The sheriff's office is expected to release more information later, but a spokesman gave a statement at the scene saying that the cause of death is likely to have been hypothermia.
She lived on a family farm in Kelliher with her grandfather. The sheriff's office had previously said it was "out of character" for her to go off by herself.
Her credit cards and cellphone were left behind along with other personal property at her home in Corral Road Northeast.
Temperatures in Kelliher dropped to as low as 24 degrees Wednesday morning, according to Weather Underground, though it's generally ranged from the low-40s to mid-50s.
