Authorities find body in Minnesota River near Mendota Bridge


A body has been located in the Minnesota River in the area underneath the Mendota Bridge, several news outlets are reporting Friday evening.

The Dakota County Sheriff’s Office was in the process of recovering a body from the Minnesota River near the Mendota Bridge, the Sheriff’s Office reported early Friday evening, according to the Star Tribune.

The Dakota County Sheriff's Office responded to the report of a body located near Highway 55 on Friday afternoon, reports KARE 11.

Once the body is recovered, the Hennepin County Medical Examiner's Office will identify the body, says KSTP-TV.
