The suspect allegedly flagged down the driver last Thursday near Battle Creek Regional Park and tried to force him out of the truck. The Pioneer Press reports the delivery man punched the hijacker and sped away before hitting a tree. Police say the suspect ran away and was not caught.

Car plunges into lake in St. Paul

Dispatchers received a call at about 6:30 a.m. Tuesday from a witness who reported seeing two men drive a car into Loeb Lake at Marydale Park in St. Paul and then run from the scene. Ramsey County Sheriff's deputies are using an underwater camera to search the vehicle.
