It's being called the sale of sales and it stretches for 10 miles in the western suburbs, with more than 80 homes and business from Long Lake to Delano. The event runs this weekend.

MnDOT to redo 8 miles of roadwork over 5/8-inch mistake

Minnesota Department of Transportation contractors repaved an eight-mile stretch of Interstate 35 north of the Twin Cities, but MnDOT did not contract for shoulder improvements. So when the roadwork was done, there was a 5/8-inch drop-off to the shoulder. "It's a safety issue and we'll get on it right away," a MnDOT spokesman told the Star Tribune. He called it a rare mistake.
