Barker, Hageman impressive in first two Gophers football games

Two former local high school football stars are off to good starts for the Gophers football team. Wide receiver A.J. Barker of DeLasalle and Ra'Shede' Hageman of Minneapolis Washburn have stepped up to lead the Gophers on the offensive and defensive side of the ball.

Gophers' Hageman arrested

Ra'Shede Hageman was arrested and jailed for disorderly conduct after allegedly getting into a fight early Thursday morning. The altercation occurred just after 2:00 a.m. outside of Sally's Bar in Dinkytown. The Gophers' defensive end was reportedly released Thursday morning after posting bail.

Charges against Gophers' Hageman dropped

Disorderly conduct charges against Ra'Shede Hageman were dropped on Monday. The Gophers' defensive tackle was arrested after reportedly breaking up a fight outside of a Minneapolis bar on May 10. Hageman is expected to be a starter next season.
