A basset hound at an animal shelter in Rochester has found a home – the one she went missing from 18 months ago.
The Paws and Claws Humane Society announced on Friday that its resident called Nola was no longer available, because she was "reclaimed by her owner after being missing for a year and a half!"
The hound was brought into the shelter by animal control last week as a stray, ABC 6 reports.
Word of the hound's arrival eventually filtered through to the owners via social media, and they brought a picture of her into Paws and Claws, where they were reunited.
Few details about the owners have been revealed, but the shelter said they are an elderly couple who had been looking for their faithful friend.
"We are so happy she is reunited with them as should everybody be," the shelter said.
