Bauer Hockey's 'Own The Moment' store coming to Minnesota

Hockey players and fans in Minnesota will soon be able to "Own The Moment."

Bauer Hockey, the New Hamshire-based hockey equipment provider, is opening a Own The Moment retail store in Bloomington this fall, making it one of two in the United States. The first Own The Moment store will open this summer near Boston, Massachusetts.

The 33,000-square-foot store will feature an indoor ice rink for customers to test gear. The company refers to it as a "fit, learn and experience process."

Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal reports the store will be located in the Hockey Giant space off American Boulevard in the Twin Cities suburb.

Bauer's Executive Vice President Rich Wuerthele announced the news in a press release, saying:

"We are excited to officially announce the location of our second retail experience, and we look forward to bringing the Own The Moment retail experience to the State of Hockey. Just like our first location outside of Boston, the Minneapolis area has an incredibly passionate base of hockey players and fans, and we look forward to delivering a hockey retail experience to the area that is unlike anything else that exists today."

Hockey Giant has served in its current location for 12 years.
