Belle Plaine officer suspected of DWI after driving 96 mph
State patrol officials say Belle Plaine police officer Bryan Michael Pasek was stopped by a state trooper on Highway 169 roughly 40 miles southwest of the Twin Cities near Belle Plaine, at 2:26 a.m. Tuesday after driving 96 mph zone, the Belle Plaine Herald reports.
He was off-duty at the time, WCCO reports.
The 32-year-old officer was given a breath test that showed a .17 blood-alcohol content level, twice the legal limit, the newspaper reports. He had a similar violation in 2003, the newspaper says.
