Today is Dana's Friday, but doesn't that mean yesterday was his Thursday? Was his Monday actually Monday? We are just as heated about this topic as the next person. We kicked off Thursday with donuts, cops, and beer; honestly our perfect combination.
6:15 Protests Across the Nation
In the intensity since the election results, there have been reports of multiple protests throughout the nation in major cities including St. Paul. It has been back and forth between democrats and republicans for the past 48 hours, and people are managing to cause uproar about everything, when we feel this needs to be the time to unite.
6:30 Toy Hall of Fame
We moved on to happier things, like toys! Did you know there was a hall of fame for classic toys? Barbie, Crayola, and GI Joe are all hanging out as OG's in the hall of fame. Our favorites like "the stick" (yes, literally a stick found outside), blankets (for forts obviously), and the 2015 inductee, the Super Soaker. Up for induction this year: Care Bears, Transformers, Clue and our pick, bubble wrap. Countdown to Christmas is 45 days, if you celebrate. The holidays are the best time of the year to unite and be happy!
6:50 The Trend
Protests are breaking out all over the nation after the election. Black Friday deals are out and televisions are on the docket (shocker). People might be mad about the election, but they aren't mad about Starbucks red cups...yet. Holiday cups are out and now you can get your peppermint mocha on like a boss.
7:15 Ask a Cop
Officer Schmidt is in studio, and Giselle had a little bit of a problem yesterday taking a fast corner. Can she get out of her ticket? We asked a cop this morning and got down to business on your questions about THE LAW.
7:30 $1000 Minute
Mason got his game on $1000 Minute but couldn't quite take home all the cash. You could have though! We play every day at 7:30am.
8:15 Get To Know
Trump is moving into the White House soon, in case you didn't hear, and we wanted to now what would he first thing you would do when you moved in? Ben wanted caramel pecan pancakes and bacon in bed, in the Lincoln bedroom specifically. He also wants to know if aliens are real. Dana wanted to know all the secrets (honestly, who killed Tupac?), and obviously bring in a Donkey Kong machine into the oval office. Giselle is buying a panda puppy (puppy that looks like a panda, it's a thing) .
8:30 What's more important: The first or second date?
Relationships: Ben's single, Dana's married and Giselle is committed. Dating is all a game, so seriously, which one is more important: the first date or the second? G said the first date is key to making a good impression and setting the tone for the (possible) relationship. Ben said second because it's more chill and happy hour is key. What works for you?
9:30 Thirsty Thursday with Urban Growler
Welcome Urban Growler! Jill and Deb are in studio and they brought with then their Jalapeño Cowbell Cream Ale, then we needed carnitas. Did we mention they have food and they are open at 11am? Check out their Plow to Pint brews like the Pumpkin Saison.
9:50 Weekend Shenanigans with Intern Anna
Fins and Flights at Sea Life MN with Bald Man Brewing.
Breakfast and Brews at Tin Whiskers Brewing Company and Rebel Donut Bar.
Clockwerks Brewing are our new neighbors, and they are having their grand opening this weekend. Check them out!
9:50 - Rap Up
Don't forget the Daily Rap Up with Chaz Kangas (@chazraps) who freestyles a secret word and recaps everything we talked about previously in the show.
