Ben Roethlisberger isn't sure he will play next season
Imagine an NFL without Ben Roethlisberger. From going to AFC Championship game as a rookie in 2004 to leading the Steelers back to the title game this season, Big Ben has been one of the best quarterbacks to grace a football field for the last 13 years.
In an interview with a Pittsburgh radio station on Tuesday, Roethlisberger hinted at the possibility of retirement.
“I’m going to take this offseason to evaluate, to consider all options,” he told the The Cook and Poni Show. “To consider health, and family and things like that and just kind of take some time away to evaluate next season, if there’s going to be a next season.”
That's an unexpected bombshell.
“I think at this point in my career, at my age, that’s the prudent and smart thing to do every year,” Roethlisberger added.
Roethlisberger will be 35 in two months and he's fresh off a season with 29 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.
