Best Buy boosts 'My Best Buy' loyalty program

Best Buy is announcing that it has revamped and enlarged its loyalty program, now known as My Best Buy. Again.

Earlier this year, the company boosted rewards in an effort to spur sales.

The move on Monday uses the new program to replace the previous loyalty program that the Richfield retailer called The Reward Zone. My Best Buy will offer more rewards for consumers who use the Best Buy credit card, providing them with t 1 point per $1 spent and 5 percent back. The program lets participants collect points for ‘checking in’ at a Best Buy store. Members will also get early access to sales and promotions and new ways to engage with Best Buy through mobile devices.

With more than 40 million active members, the company says that My Best Buy is among the largest loyalty programs of its kind.
