Best Buy boosts rewards on loyalty program
Best Buy is increasing the amount of points it offers customers who use its loyalty card program, according to a news release.
Starting Sunday, the Richfield-based consumer electronics retailer will offer card holders 5 percent back in reward points -- up from 4 percent.
Market Watch says the increase puts Best Buy's rewards program at the high end among retailers, reflecting pressure to spur sales.
Last month, Best Buy renewed its price-matching program to fend off retail rivals and combat showrooming.
