Best Buy just put out its annual list of the top 20 gadgets for the Holiday season, and it features plenty of Apple tech and virtual reality headsets.

That's not a surprise considering how important Apple is to electronics retailers, or the Richfield-based retailer's recent Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR push.

The Richfield-based retailer says its list is "in no particular order." But along with the Apple, PlayStation, FitBit and Samsung (the Galaxy 7 is included – the one that doesn't catch fire) entries, there are a few items that you might not be familiar with.

The Dyson Supersonic Hair Dryer

U.K.-based Dyson does more than just vacuum cleaners. It's made airflow the entire basis of its business, and its latest gadget is this "high-velocity" hair dryers.

The Best Buy site says "rapid airflow and heat-level monitoring ensure efficient drying without overheating tresses," with the motor located in the handle. The price to pay for "better balance" and "reduced arm fatigue" is $399.99.

Google Home

You may have seen the many commercials for the Amazon Echo home hub – well this is Google's version.

The voice-activated speaker is powered by Google Assistant, and you can use commands to play music (via Google Play, Pandora or Spotify), check the weather forecast, get answers from Google and manage everyday tasks.

The hub comes in various colors and fabrics to fit in with your decor, and costs $129.

DJI – Mavic Pro Drone

This kit will set you back a cool $999.99, so someone will have to have been REALLY good this year to deserve it.

The camera drone will enable users to capture footage and pictures in ultra high-definition, while its in-built ultrasonic range finders and vision sensors will "proactively detect and avoid obstacles for safe, obstruction-free flight."

The foldable drone has a 7-kilometer transmission range.

Rand McNally OverDryve Connected Car System

This is basically an all-in-one tech system for your car. For $349.99, it has a voice assistant that lets you read and send text messages by command, and play music in your car without taking your hands off the wheel.

What's more, it is a GPS navigation system, AND a dash cam that lets you capture footage as you drive.
