Bicyclist, 13, dies in crash with 16-year-old driver


Investigators are looking into a fatal accident in Cambridge Thursday involving a 13-year-old boy riding his bicycle and a 16-year-old male driver, the Star Tribune reports.

According to the Isanti County Sheriff's Department, the boy was riding his bicycle near the intersection of 329th Avenue and Airport Way around 3 p.m. when he was struck by the driver.

Both parties were reportedly from Cambridge.

WCCO-TV says the 16-year-old driver was not arrested.

He reportedly sustained minor injuries in the accident.

The identities of both parties were withheld by authorities. More information is expected to be released Friday.
