The former president is scheduled to appear at campaign rallies for President Barack Obama, Sen. Amy Klobuchar and other DFL candidates, MPR reports. No other details of the visit were immediately released. The Obama campaign says anyone interested in attending can sign up here for info on Minneapolis; and sign up here for info on the Duluth event.

Clinton was in Fargo on Monday rallying support for U.S. Senate candidate Heidi Heitkamp, the Forum reports.

Both Obama and GOP challenger Mitt Romney have bought TV ads to run in the state in the final week before the election.

A new Star Tribune poll says Obama has just a 3-point lead in Minnesota. MinnPost's David Brauer examines whether such a steep gain for Romney is really plausible.

The New York Times' FiveThirtyEight blog says Gopher land is not really a swing state, although it is moonlighting as one.

"When you're sitting here as a Democrat in the United States Senate from Minnesata, and you're so well liked and you have these numbers, why are you not leading?" Bills asked Klobuchar.
