Blake Shelton lookalike is mobbed by fans, 'sneaks backstage' at Fargodome concert

Author:

Apparently Blake Shelton has a doppelganger, and he may have used his looks to sneak backstage at the country star's recent concert in Fargo.

"I now know what it's like to be famous," lookalike Andrew Dahlen wrote on his Facebook page Saturday night.

His story about sneaking backstage at Shelton's concert at the Fargodome has gone viral and has been shared over a thousand times on Facebook as of Monday.

"Fake Blake" said he drew attention as soon as he walked into the building, as groups of girls attacked him in "screaming frenzies" and posed for selfies.

And he's got the photos to prove it:

Dahlen claims he kept the charade going and "acted like he owned the place" as he waltzed down to the main floor without a ticket and then past security staff to get backstage.

He said he was even able to grab some food from the buffet before someone realized he wasn't actually Blake Shelton.

But with a mug like this, can you really blame anyone for not noticing?

Dahlen never found the country star, but he left with an incredible experience and story to tell all of his friends.

He also said he wants to apologize for any grief that he may have caused to staff and fans – and that he'd like to grab a beer with Blake some day.

This isn't the first time Dahlen has been mistaken for Blake Shelton – his sister in-law Lisa Dahlen told GoNews that he gets stopped everywhere he goes.

And his "Not Blake Shelton" Facebook page is dedicated to photos with people who stop him in the street.

The Forum News Service tried to get a comment from the Fargodome about Dahlen's adventures, but a spokesman wasn't available.
