Bloomington apartment complex evacuated after fire

A fire at a Bloomington, Minn. apartment complex Sunday morning forced numerous residents to evacuate.

The Pioneer Press reports that the fire injured one person who was taken to Hennepin County Medical Center with possible smoke inhalation, Bloomington Fire Chief Ulysses Seal told the newspaper.

KMSP reports that the 40-unit complex is on the 8000 block of 12th Avenue South, located just off of American Boulevard.

KARE 11 reports that the Red Cross has a mobile feeding unit on site to provide food and hydration. Red Cross volunteers will help families determine their next steps.

Fire officials are investigating the cause of the blaze. They say most residents should be able to return home Monday.
