Music legend Bob Dylan had predicted a big win for President Barack Obama long before the polls closed. The Associated Press reports he told concertgoers in Madison on Monday, “We tried to play good tonight since the president was here today." He went on to say, "I think it's going to be a landslide!"

The 71-year-old Minnesota native and his Band, with special guest Mark Knopfler, will take over the Xcel Energy Center on Wednesday night. However, MPR notes demand for tickets to the St. Paul concert has been weak.

In September, Dylan released his 35th studio album “Tempest.”

Same old Dylan plays at Xcel

Although most fans agree that Bob Dylan will go down as arguably the greatest American songwriter of the 20th Century, his performance at the Xcel Energy Center Wednesday night came off a little flat. At 71 years old, Dylan sounds better vocally than he did the last time he performed in the Twin Cities in 2008.

Bob Dylan expected to be piano man at Rochester show

If his recent concert performances in Europe are any indication, then Bob Dylan will be playing mostly piano -- not guitar -- at his Aug. 21 show in Rochester. The 71-year-old Hibbing native surprised his devotees during his Neverending Tour stops in England and Germany last week by sitting at a grand piano most of the time.

Bob Dylan to perform in Rochester this summer

After a four year hiatus, the Hibbing/Duluth native and his band will return to Minnesota for a show at the Mayo Civic Center in the Med City on August 21. Bob Dylan will also visit Fargo a couple days before he visits Rochester. There's no word of any other Minnesota cities being added to his itinerary.
