Body found along I-94 in Minneapolis Monday morning

A body has been found alongside Interstate 94 in downtown Minneapolis Monday morning, several news outlets are reporting.

KARE 11 says the body was found on the westbound shoulder near 11th Street.

KSTP-TV reports it's unclear if the body was male or female, according to Cyndi Barrington, spokeswoman for the Minneapolis police.

The Star Tribune reports that the body was found at 7:30 a.m. and the right lane of I-94 was closed for more than an hour, backing up traffic on both I-94 and southbound I-35W heading into Minneapolis.
