Body found in Mississippi River believed to be missing Grand Rapids man

Authorities in Grand Rapids say that a body recovered from the Mississippi River on Thursday is believed to be that of a 36-year-old man reported missing earlier this week.

The Duluth News Tribune reports the body that is believed to be Jacob Charles Marion was found at about 1:30 p.m. by a crew from Itasca County Search and Rescue who were conducting a search by boat on the river in the northwestern part of the city.

Marion has been missing since Tuesday, and did not have his medication or wallet on him, the News Tribune earlier reported.
